Leveraging Windows Recovery Partition For Cross System Reset Persistence
Coming very soon!
The Windows Recovery Partition is a small, hidden partition on a Windows system’s drive that contains the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). It provides tools and scripts for troubleshooting, system repair, and factory reset, allowing users to recover from boot failures, corruption, or other critical issues without external installation media. Because it operates independently of the main Windows installation and is normally hidden from the user, it has also become a target for advanced malware persistence techniques.
